Two of the most popular options are the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 and 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114. These are both bobbed cruisers based on the Softail® platform and which are powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 V-twin engine. But there are differences, so let’s have a look at those.
What’s New for 2023
The Street Bob® 114 and Fat Bob® 114 are staples in the Harley-Davidson® lineup and arrive for 2023 with only minor revisions and no major changes. The brand has, however, introduced a new color option for each.
Ride Characteristics
The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114 and 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 are similar in that they’re built on the Softail® cruiser platform, put the rider in an upright position and have a passenger seat. But the Fat Bob® 114 has forward foot controls whereas the Street Bob® 114 has mid controls and a lower seat height.
Performance
A notable difference when comparing the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 vs 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114 is that the Fat Bob® 114 is designed to deliver a more performance-oriented experience. As with most cruisers, neither the Street Bob® 114 nor the Fat Bob® 114 have an infotainment system. The Fat Bob® 114 has a 4-inch digital speedometer and 4-inch analog tachometer. The Street Bob® 114 has an LCD with a viewable area that measures a bit more than 2 inches.
Technologies
Both of these models are on the low-tech side, which is typical of the classic cruiser. However, the Fat Bob® 114 does differentiate itself with an electronic cruise control system, which is included standard.
Customization
