2023 Harley-Davidson® Nightster® Overview

The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S and 2023 Harley-Davidson® Nightster® are now available at Seacoast Harley-Davidson®. You can see them in our showroom as soon as today, and we’re now scheduling test rides. The Sportster® S and Nightster® make up the new Sport family within the Harley-Davidson® lineup, and the main difference here is the design goals. The Sportster® S was designed as if the original Sportster® were being innovated in the 2020s rather than the 1950s, and the Nightster®, on the other hand, sticks closer to its roots and has the classic Sportster® silhouette that many riders expect.

What’s New for 2023

Not much has changed with the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S. This model has been carried forward to the new model year with only minor revisions. The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Nightster®, however, arrives with some notable updates. The standard Nightster® is even more stripped down, and Harley-Davidson® has introduced the Nightster® Special for the customer who wants to spend a little more.

Ride Characteristics

Both of these motorcycles are sport cruisers that put the rider in a forward position, but the most notable difference when comparing the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Nightster® vs 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S is that the Sportster® S riding experience is more aggressive. It comes standard with forward foot control as opposed to mid controls and has a lower seating height.

Performance

The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Nightster® is powered by the Revolution® Max 925 powertrain. The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S is powered by the Revolution® Max 1250T powertrain. These are both liquid-cooled powertrains rather than the air-cooled setups you usually find in a Harley-Davidson® cruiser, but the 1250T provides about 28% more horsepower and torque.

Infotainment

Neither of these motorcycles have an infotainment system. The Nightster® has a 4-inch analog display with segmented LCD. The Sportster® S and Nightster® Special have a 4-inch digital screen. They also support Bluetooth, so you do have access to whatever features are available through your phone.

Technologies

All of these models have ABS, TCS and DSCS. The Nightster® Special and Sportster® S also add TPMS, and the Sportster® S also adds wheel lift mitigation, enhanced lift mitigation and the cornering-enhanced technologies, such as C-ABS, C-TCS and C-DSCS.

Customization

The standard Nightster® is the most stripped down of these three models and therefore arguably provides the most room for personalization. That said, you’ll find excellent support for all three models through the H-D® catalog, and Seacoast Harley-Davidson® provides you full access to it at competitive prices. You also have design choices. In all three cases, the standard aesthetic included in the MSRP pairs the Vivid Black paint scheme with a dark, modern finish. The Nightster® is available with Redline Red as a premium choice. The premium colors available for the Nightster® Special are Black Denim, Bright Billiard Blue and Industrial Yellow, and your options with the Sportster® S are White Sand Pearl, Gray Haze and Bright Billiard Blue.
